Video Gear Recommendations

I have been seeing Facebook posts lately asking, "What kind of video gear do I buy if I'm just starting out?" It seems to be popping up a lot because well, 2017 is the year of video, didn't you hear? ;)

Well friends, I want to tell you the basic (and AFFORDABLE) video gear that you need to get started on YouTube or Facebook Live.

How To Improve Your On-Camera Presence

This week I shared with my email list the first video I ever made for gossBoss. Let's just say it wasn't pretty. BUT it is still the #1 viewed video on my YouTube channel.

Why? Probably because it was 2 minutes of me, makeup-free and wet hair, talking about the real and raw moments of being a work-at-home mom. It was relatable just not very aesthetically pleasing.

What to Wear On Camera

Admittedly as a work-at-home mom I don't take as much pride in my outward appearance as when I worked full-time in an office. It's just easier to stay in PJs most days.

But since I have committed to filming 1 vlog per week for my YouTube channel, I knew I needed to step up my game (at least on Fridays anyway). Getting camera ready used to feel like a hindrance until I realized that blow-drying my hair and putting on lipstick made me feel, shall I say, kind of "normal" and like a productive member of society, ha!

3 Video Gifts and Gear

2017 will be the year of video, mark my words. So no better time than the holidays to ask the hubby or family for some new pieces of video gear for your biz. Every year I send around my Amazon Wish List and simply cross my fingers!

I wanted to share some of my own video gifts and gear "wishes" that will be super helpful for you too!
