When we met for frozen yogurt at a local shop it was one of those “ideal client” moments. Everything from the company name to the branding just felt like such a good fit for GossBoss.

Christine Chadwick and Katy Simovski of Poppy Events wanted to create a timeless brand story about their event planning company. As a dynamic duo, they needed to showcase both strong suits – Christine as the food and beverage expert and Katy bringing in a strong design aesthetic to their events.

We partnered with a big team of Pittsburgh wedding vendors for a styled shoot at Luna Boutique in Sewickley, Pa. The day began with hair by Simply Captivating Salon and makeup by Mock Makeup. When the ladies were camera ready we sat and had a good chat about Poppy – how it all began and their mission to bring their clients a sense of calm on their wedding day (and during the months it takes to plan!).

After we wrapped the interview, it was on to the styled portion of the shoot. It was awe-inspiring to see both Katy and Christine snap into action, partnering with Sapphire and Lace (florals), Mosaic Linens (table and chair linens), All Occasion Party Rentals (table and chairs), and Purple Wagon Designs (stationary) to create a stunning event display. When filming ended the ladies were off to capture some portraits with Steven Dray Photography.

If I was able to create a 10-minute video all of the amazing and finite details of the shoot I would have! It was definitely hard to pick clips, but I really wanted to pace this video to match the classic and timeless design and vibe of that day. I want to thank Jonathan DeCarlo, who so wonderfully filmed the interview and b-roll footage so I could focus on producing the shoot. I wrapped it up with the editing to create this timeless promotional video.

As they say - without further adieu, enjoy Poppy Events’ brand story.
